Attar is stored in a leather bottle known as a ‘kuppi’ to evaporate the water content present in traces.

The attars in Kannauj are handcrafted skilfully using the Deg & Bhapka method, a traditional method of making attars for thousands of years.

The bhapka with sandalwood oil is floating inside a pool of cold water. The vapors slowly go into the bhapka through the bamboo pipe and condense.
